Experimenting with the differences in the U gouge and the V gouge for creating different textures for the fur of the longhorn was the most enjoyable part of creating this linocut block. A longhorn is the mascot for my sister's university. Since our universities are rivals, I created this print as a trio. This maroon version is a way to incorporate my universities' colors into an artwork that still honors a rival school.
